The Keweenaw's 233 miles of snowmobile trails between Toivola and the tip of the peninsula take the rider across the Portage Lift Bridge (use the bottom portion, not the canal) and north to Copper Harbor through some of the most scenic areas of the Upper Peninsula. Side trails and loops to Freda, Lake Linden, Gay, Eagle River & Eagle Harbor, Lac La Belle, Keweenaw Point or Brockway Mountain offer a variety of scenery and terrain from deep forests to scenic overlooks to Lake Superior shoreline. There's something for everyone here - Come on UP!Trails are groomed on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day, by our fleet of 5 state-of-the-art groomers to ensure your snowmobiling experience is a great one! (33,127 miles were groomed in during the winter of 2007-2008) All trails are 10 to 16 feet wide and clearly identified. Lodging, restaurants, service stations and refreshment spots are located on, or just a short drive from, the trails.
Snowmobile trails are managed by Keweenaw Trails Services
with substantial support from the Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau.
