Formerly the Brockway Mountain Nature Sanctuary. With its bluffs and ridges, this dry-mesic northern forest shelters a variety of unusual plants from the fierceness of Lake Superior. Brockway Mountain is well-known for its showy spring raptor migration.The trail is in a Michigan Nature Association Sanctuary and all sanctuary rules apply. Collecting plants, seeds, or animals or any kind is strictly forbidden. Stay on established trails. Only foot traffic is allowed - the use of all motorized vehicles or mountain bikes is prohibited. No hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, campfires, or pets are permitted. Carry out all refuse. Leave only footprints, take only pictures.DIRECTIONS: From Hancock drive north on US-41 45.2 miles to Copper Harbor. Turn left at the light and go .4 miles to the Brockway Mountain Drive, across from the Copper Harbor marina. Turn left and follow to the Nature Association sign.
