Fall color season in the Keweenaw is one of the best-kept secrets of the Upper Midwest. The hills come alive with bold and brilliant color created by the special mix of sugar maples, birch and oaks of the northern forests.

Late September to mid-October is an excellent time to tour the Keweenaw and enjoy the roads that wind through the colorful landscape. Brockway Mountain Drive is a definite must see. You can also get right into the midst of the color along one of the many hike or bike trails located on the Keweenaw.

Fall brings warm days, cool nights and spectacular color alongside brilliant blue skies and majestic Lake Superior.
