The Strawberry Festival, held in the downtown Chassell area, is two days of family fun. Friday events begin at 9 am with the serving of Strawberry Shortcake and more and continues with Arts & Crafts from 10 am to 8 pm, a quilt show from 10 am to 7 pm, the Chassell Heritage Center Open house from noon to 6 pm and horse-drawn wagon rides from 2 to 5 pm. There will be a fish boil at 4 pm, strawberry judging at 5 pm, a children's parade at 6 pm, awards at 7 pm, the queen crowning at 8 pm and a dance at the Chassell VFW with music by Cheap Therapy from 9 pm to midnight.Saturday events begin with the pancake breakfast from 6:30 to 10 am. There will be Arts & Crafts from 9 am to 4 pm, the Strawberry Festival Parade at 11 am followed by the chicken BBQ, wagon rides from noon to 3 pm, the quilt show from noon to 4 pm, live music by "The Polka Drifters" from 1 to 4 pm, the Friends of Fashion Vintage Fashion show at 2 pm and children's games also at 2 pm.
